For companies
Bitcoin is on your balance sheet. The board will ask why it moved.
A company that holds bitcoin has a reporting problem as well as a market one. The position is marked, the movement lands in the accounts, and someone has to explain it — to a board, to an auditor, to a shareholder. BIKENZO does not solve the accounting. It gives you the monetary backdrop the position moved against, from public central-bank data, on one screen you can put in front of people who do not follow this market daily.
A data terminal. Not accounting, tax or investment advice.
The question a treasury position actually creates
Not "what will it do next" — nobody can answer that, and a supplier who claims to should be shown the door. The question is "what were the conditions, and can we describe them consistently at every reporting date." That one is answerable from public data, and it is the one BIKENZO addresses.
A consistent frame beats a new story each quarter
The weakest position in a board meeting is a different explanation every quarter, each one fitted to the number it has to explain. A backdrop computed the same way every time — the same sources, the same netting, the same rate-of-change window — is a frame that does not move to suit the result.
Everything traces to a public source
The index is built from central-bank balance sheets and the drains netted against them, all published by the institutions themselves. If someone asks where a figure came from, there is an answer, and it is not "our proprietary model says so". The exact composition is proprietary; the sources are not.
Where the boundary is, precisely
This matters more for a company than for a private user, so it is stated plainly rather than buried.
Not accounting, and not tax
How a bitcoin holding is recognised, measured and disclosed depends on your reporting framework, your jurisdiction and your auditor — and the treatment differs sharply between them. BIKENZO says nothing about any of it. Those questions belong to your accountants and your tax advisers, and this page is not a substitute for either.
Not advice, and not execution
No recommendation to buy, sell or hold; no forecast; no custody; no trading; no introduction to anyone who does those things. BIKENZO is a screen. A treasury policy is written by the company and its advisers, and the terminal is an input to it, never the author of it.
Single user, and what that means for you
The subscription is one seat. There are no team or multi-seat licences today, and rather than let that surface at checkout: if you need several people in the terminal at once, or the data inside your own systems, BIKENZO does not currently do that. It is said here because finding it out later would waste your time.
What a company actually gets
One screen: global central-bank liquidity, netted and FX-adjusted, as a rate of change, plotted against the Bitcoin price, with the history behind it. Plus the public method page, which anyone in the company — or outside it — can read to see how the line is built.
Who this is for
A fit if
- Your company already holds bitcoin and has to describe the position periodically
- You want a consistent, sourced frame rather than a fresh narrative each quarter
- One person needs the screen — a treasurer, a CFO, a founder
- You want the method to be readable by people outside the company
Not a fit if
- You need accounting, audit or tax treatment — that is your advisers' work, not ours
- You need several seats or the data inside your own systems; neither exists today
- You want execution, custody or a broker relationship
- You want a forecast to put in a plan; there is none
FAQ
- Does BIKENZO help with accounting for a bitcoin holding?
- No. Recognition, measurement and disclosure depend on your reporting framework, your jurisdiction and your auditor, and they differ sharply between them. BIKENZO provides market data only. Those questions belong to your accountants and tax advisers.
- Can several people in the company use it?
- Not today. The subscription is a single seat, and there are no team or multi-seat licences. If you need multiple users or the data inside your own systems, BIKENZO does not currently serve that — said here rather than at the checkout.
- Can we use the chart in board or investor materials?
- Please get in touch before you do. The terminal is licensed for a single user, so redistribution is a question of the subscription terms rather than something to assume, and we would rather answer it than have it discovered afterwards.
- Does BIKENZO advise on treasury policy?
- No. It gives no advice or recommendation of any kind and makes no forecast. A treasury policy is written by the company and its advisers; the terminal can be an input to that work, never the author of it.
